Sten Rynning and Anne Ingemann Johansen were in the Security Policy Offices of both the Danish and the Norwegian Ministries of Foreign Affairs on Friday, March 21, and Monday, March 24, 2025.

The visits were part of their research on current NATO policy development in Denmark and Norway, exploring how relevant outside expertise is to policy-makers.

Acknowledging the turbulent times for NATO countries, we greatly appreciate the willingness of Danish and Norwegian officials to take time out of their extremely busy schedules to share insights and experiences.

The research continues, with the next stop being the Danish and Norwegian NATO delegations.

Observed: In the meeting room of the Security Policy Office in the Norwegian MFA, a bookshelf ”bridging the gap” with a mix of scholarly and practitioner books.
